Every year for the last few years, there has been a push for education to expose students to “code” and encourage teachers and schools to promote computer science to the whole school (not just those signing up for CS101). This could introduce the next Mark Zuckerberg, Woz or Bill Gates and countless women to the language of the computer.
This year is no exception. The code.org website is online and ready to go with plenty of resources for various age groups and access to resources (for students and teachers).
For those interested that may want their children or students to get some additional help or more personal experience, check out the workshops at the Apple Retail Stores (throughout NY, NJ and CT).
For questions about way you can engage your child or students with the hour of code, let us know.
