Beginning at 9pm Tuesday April 25th, updates will take place on network switches supporting technology throughout Hunter Hall. Network devices will be updated and rebooted causing network interruptions during the maintenance window of 9–11pm Tuesday night.

Wireless devices, phones, printers and other devices will be disconnected during this update and reboot cycle. We will be closely monitoring this work and will verify that all systems resume normal operation tonight to assure the community will be fully functional before Wednesday 7am. We will be available to support or respond to questions, issues or concerns Wednesday morning as needed.

**20170425 2-2:30pm**. Work being done to replace failed memory components on one of our servers caused an unexpected shutdown of critical systems. This shutdown impacted communications and access to resources throughout campus.

Additional updates will be applied to these servers 9pm Wednesday thru 2am Thursday to address and resolve the stability of these core systems serving the entire Friends community.

Services impacted Tuesday night:

  • Wireless connections throughout Hunter Hall
  • Phones and computers connected to the Hunter network
  • Printing to copiers and other devices in Hunter Hall

Services impacted Wednesday night thru Thursday morning:

  • Servers and systems should NOT be impacted thru maintenance

Please submit a ticket via https://helpdesk.friendsseminary.org or send an email to helpdesk@friendsseminary.org if connection issues are seen through the end of the week.
